Highgatepaws FanFan Tulipe Ptiprince (Fanny) - my long-awaited CFA first-born. His story, as well as it is necessary to the first-born, was the most dramatic.

First and –I expect! - last time I "received" a kitten as a cargo!

It happened in Finland. Finnish morning was cold and gloomy. It was drizzling sadly. I was shivering at the airport – if the plane from New York will be late suddenly, and I need to be in time aboard the plane to Kiev. I worried as I saw the kid only in photos before. If something in him will not justify my expectations?

Correspondence and arrangements with Melinda Condon have borrowed about half a year. There was a long expectation… I received photos each 2 weeks, I saw perfect color, nice profile and earset … Conversation with Mindy went about a pair at once - a male and a female. I have already passed 2 litters with a female. I waited for the following having crossed my fingers.

The Finnish customs officers were not able to work quickly. Besides there was a state day off in Finland, and there was no any vet at the airport! I persuaded three hours to give me a cat without vetcontrol and I was VERY angry! But custom officier took off and Fanfan was in my hands at last.

All troubles disappeared at once: Fanny is a super cat! Fanny was very courageous! He sat down at my hands directly in a noisy hall of the airport, has eaten 2! Jars of canned food and purred, absorbed in my hand. It was after 10 hours flight and change of conditions! Mindy wrote, that she explained to Fan he would depart home. It was obvious he has understood his mom. Fanny has not shown the slightest surprise from a plenty of dogs and cats in my house. He has proudly proceeded on 2nd floor to my bedroom (and how he only has understood, where was it?). He has fallen asleep till the morning.

Fanny has very quickly come into contacts with all members of my family –cats, dog and people. Even my male Azur has accepted him at once. I was afraid of his reaction in fact. The best game for Fanny was hunting for my parrot. He loved sat down on a pole especially, preliminary having expelled a parrot from it.
